内容简介
《园丁集》是印度诗人泰戈尔创作的诗集，是一部“关于爱情和人生的”英文抒情诗集，诗体为散文诗。共收入诗歌85首，初版于1913年。
诗集中的大部分诗歌是诗人从自己在19世纪90年代创作的孟加拉文诗集《刹那集》《梦幻集》《金船集》《缤纷集》等迻译而来的。属于泰戈尔前期创作阶段的诗歌作品。
《园丁集》是一部富于哲理的诗集，共收诗85首。 泰戈尔用简洁的语言，构造了一个真理的殿堂。它融入了诗人对青春的感受，细腻地描述了恋爱中男女的幸福与忧伤，在回味青春的同时，又进行了理性而深刻的思考。
在《园丁集》中，诗人通过寓意深刻的寓言诗和言简意赅的哲理诗，明确地表达了自己对社会人生的态度，艺术地回答了人应该为什么生活、怎样生活等重大的人生问题。

作者简介
泰戈尔（RabindranathTagore，1861—1941），印度诗人、作家、艺术家
和社会活动家。1913年获诺贝尔文学奖。生于加尔各答市的一个富有哲学和文学艺术修养家庭，13岁即能创作长诗和颂歌体诗集。1878年赴英国留学，1880年回国专门从事文学活动。1884至1911年担任梵社秘书，20年代创办国际大学。1941年写作控诉英国殖民统治和相信祖国必将获得独立解放的著名遗言《文明的危机》。泰戈尔是具有巨大世界影响的作家。他共写了50多部诗集，被称为“诗圣”。写了12部中长篇小说，100多篇短篇小说，20多部剧本及大量文学、哲学、政治论著，并创作了1500多幅画，诸写了难以统计的众多歌曲。

I will replenish with scented oil the lamp that burns by your bedside， and decorate your footstool with sandal and saffron paste in wondrous designs.
为您闲散的日子服务。
